BIOMATH 2016

Due to logistical problems related to Covid and post-Covid situation the Biomath 2022 is postponed for 2023.
New announcement will follow.

The Institute of Mechanics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia is in the campus of the Academy which is about 4 km along "Tsarigradsko Shose". Most of the Research Institutes are there. Directly opposite the Institute of Mechanics is the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics. One block west is the Hotel of the Academy. These places are close to each other. All lunches will be at the restaurant of the Hotel of BAS. A small map is attached here. The other hotels mentioned on the website are walking distance from this campus. The venue of the conference should not be confused with the building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the center of Sofia. This building, which is right next to the parliament, is the place only for the central administration.

Welcome to Biomath 2022

The annual international conference on Mathematical Methods and Models in Biosciences (Biomath) will take place from ..... to ..... 2022 at the Institute of Mechanics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The conference continues a tradition of scientific meetings on Biomathematics held in Sofia since 1995 (see Biomath forum). It is supported by several research units of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (such as the Institutes of Mathematics and Informatics, Information and Communication Technologies, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering, Mechanics, Neurobiology, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research, etc.) and several Universities (Sofia University "Kl. Biomath School for Young Scientists
The school comprises plenary lectures and sessions for contributed talks. The lectures at the school are of more introductory nature giving foundations and insight into the respective topic rather then focusing on new results and are presented by some of the keynote speakers of the conference. A central event for the school is the Hot Topics Workshop. Several scholars act as moderators, presenting "hot areas" and related open problems. All PhD students and young scientists participating in the conference are considered members of the school. Their presentations (oral or posters) will be assessed by a jury. more
